Carrozza offers free training for Jingle Bell 5K

The Jingle Bell 5K is about a month away – just long enough to train for it, according to Austin running guru Paul Carrozza.

Carrozza has teamed with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to offer a free “four weeks to a 5K” training plan for the organization’s 17th annual Jingle Bell 5K at 8 a.m. Dec. 14 at the Domain.

The training sessions will take place Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings and are free for anyone registered for the run.

“Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned runner, this four-week plan will help kick-start your fitness and those New Year’s resolutions,” Carrozza says.

To register for MADD’s Jingle Bell 5k and download a training plan, go here. Each runner will get a pair of bells and Santa will cheer on the runners. To sign up for Carrozza’s free training, register for the race and then go here.
